Whether you've found your way here from the site for the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the virtual world of Second Life, or somewhere else in between, you have to unquestionably be wondering exactly who we are, and why we are here, and what this site is all about.

This site is the collaboration between several people, being led by our Team Leader, ShujinTribble Kawanishi (his Second Life alias). In memory of his beloved wife, who passed away in 2005 as a result of angiosarcoma, an extremely malignant form of cancer which rapidly attacks and delibilitates the body. Our team is part of the Ride for Roswell, a yearly bike race held in Buffalo, New York, to benefit the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

The inspiration for what we do is Fujin Tribble, a brilliant, loving woman whose lost battle with cancer left behind her husband, Shujin, and a beautiful daughter, whom we affectionately call TinyTribble. This is a picture of TinyTrib. She has a lot of her mother's wonderful features, not just physically but emotionally as well. Fujin had a bright, inspiring disposition, which lives on in her daughter to this day.

This team consists not only of our team leader and his daughter, but also every person in the virtual world of Second Life who contributes to our cause. Over the past several years, we have done fundraising inside SL on a limited basis. This year, however, we intend on taking our fundraising grid-wide. We want to raise as much as we can, not just in funding, but awareness about these cancers and the detrimental effects they can have on the lives not only of those who have the disease, but their families and friends as well.
